Dog agility combines elements from equestrian show jumping events and obstacles derived from military K9 Corps regimen. Dogs maneuver their way through a timed course designed to test their agility as they leap over hurdles, burst through tunnels, balance on a teeter - tooter, scale an A-frame, weave through a line of poles and much more. Agility is designed for dog & handler to work together as a team. Training is all positive and is run rain or shine. You will find that the relationship with your dog will grow and strengthen. Instructor: Carol Voelker I started in the canine field when I got my first rescue dog (Denizen) in 1993. He started my research into dog training and behavior problems with the issues he had. I continued my canine eduction by getting involved in Canine Agility, and a short time later I started teaching Agility. Within 2 years I had 4 adult rescue dogs, all with different issues. I then managed a humane society for 5 years and helped new adopters with any issues their new companion may have. I use positive training methods, and feel the best training is when both you and your dog are having fun.
